This week’s readings include an overview of the role of diversity and inclusion in today’s organization as well as a number of approaches for understanding and managing our own biases.

For this discussion, you can respond to prompt 1 or 2 – you do not need to respond to both prompts.

1. Share an example of a leader who has demonstrated an interest in advancing a social equality issue by taking action and setting an example. This can be a business, social, political or even an entertainment figure. Point to a specific example and discuss their leadership style and behaviors in the given situation. Be sure provide the context of the social issue (race, wage disparity, etc.) and any notable outcomes in your chosen example.

2. Share an example of a public figure who has been scrutinized for their actions, opinions, policies, etc. as they relate to issues related to social equality. This can be a business, social, political or even an entertainment figure. Point to a specific example and discuss their leadership style and behaviors in a given situation. Be sure provide the context of the social issue (race, wage disparity, etc.) and any notable outcomes in your chosen example.

Substantiate your discussion post by sharing at least two reference hyperlinks (news article, blog post, other research) which helps to substantiate your response.
