Quality Indicators and Quality Improvement

With the possible exception of the cost of health care in the U.S., few areas receive as much attention as the quality of health care provided. In fact, it is one of the three primary foci of cost, quality, and access to care (also known as the Triple Aim) that is continually being monitored from multiple levels within the healthcare system nationwide. For this week’s discussion I would like you to identify an organization whose primary role is to either monitor the quality of health care within organizations (other than the Joint Commission) or is a think tank driven to improve quality system wide. Provide an example of what this organization does or has done to improve healthcare quality
